At present, more than 169 faculties including 128 full-time teachers are working for it, among them are 24 professors, 54 associate professors, 1 distinguished professor of the National Recruitment Program for Global Experts (One-Thousand-Expert-Plan), 3 experts of receiving special government allowance, 2 members of the New Century National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, 2 distinguished professors of the Min Jiang Scholar Program, 1 awardee of the Min Jiang Scholar Program, 6 members of the Fujian Provincial New Century Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, and 2 Fujian provincial distinguished Young Scientists. 72 teachers have doctoral degrees and 50 teachers have master degrees. In addition, there is 1 part-time academician, 26 part-time professors and 4 part-time associate professors.


Awardee of the“National Recruitment Program for Global Experts”

Professor Bruno Briseghella

PhD and PhD supervisor. He worked as a professor at the University of Padova and so on. From 2012 to date, he has been working as a full-time professor in the College of Civil Engineering in Fuzhou University. He is selected as one of the experts in the “National Recruitment Program for Global Experts”. At present, he is the director of the Sustainable and Innovative Bridges Engineering Research Center of Fujian Province University(SIBERC). He is active in international associations and is the chairperson of the E-learning board in IABSE. He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers. His research topics include integral abutment bridges, composite steel and concrete structures, and earthquake engineering. In 2002, he won the Young Engineer Prize for the best paper sponsored by IABSE.  He has taken part in some important projects, including the design of the long span roof for the Galatsi Sport Center, Olympic Games, Athens; the design of Isola della Scala (Verona) Bridge (longest integral abutment bridge) and the erection design of the IVth bridge over the Grand Canal in Venice, designed by Santiago Calatrava and so on.


Outstanding science and technology talents in Fujian Province
Professor Zhenzheng Fang

PhD supervisor and expert receiving the special government allowance. He was the vice-president of Fuzhou University. At present, he is the director of the Fujian earthquake and disaster research center of civil engineering, state-local Joint earthquake and disaster information technology research center of civil engineering and the national fostering key discipline of structural engineering. From 1997 to date, he is the vice-chairman of the Fujian provincial society of civil engineering and architecture in Fujian province, member of national society of civil engineering, and member of IABSE. In 1985 and 1995, he won the honor of outstanding teacher in Fujian province.


Outstanding science and technology talents in Fujian Province
Professor Baochun Chen

PhD, PhD supervisor and expert receiving the special government allowance.  He is the dean of the college of civil engineering, Fuzhou University and the leader of the Scientific and Technological Innovation Team in Universities and Colleges in Fujian province. He is the vice-chairman of the China Steel Construction Association for Steel-Concrete Composite Structures, standing member of China Civil Engineering Association for Bridge and Structure Engineering, director of the Committee of Assessment and Strengthening of Buildings (Fujian branch) and so on. He is the PI for 3 National Natural Science Foundations of China, 1 International cooperation project of Ministry of science and technology, 1 Western science and technology project of the Ministry of Communications, 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China (ongoing project), 1 project of ministry of housing and urban-rural development and several key projects supported by different supporters. He won 1 second class National Science and Technology Award, 2 first class and 5 second class Provincial Science and Technology Award. He published 4 books and 200 papers, and edited 1 national and 1 provincial engineering construction standards. In 2010, he won the honor of outstanding teacher in Fujian Province. In 2011, he won the honor of “Baogang” outstanding teacher. In 2012, he won the award of excellent talent in Fujian Province. In 2013, he won the award of outstanding science and technology talent in Fujian Province.


Min Jiang Scholar
Professor Shaofei Jiang

PhD, PhD supervisor, distinguished professor of Min Jiang Scholar Program, member of the Fujian Provincial New Century National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, awardee of Fujian provincial Distinguished Young Scientist fund and Young Science and Technology Award. At present, he is the director of the Institute of Structural Engineering, the expert of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Green Building Rating identification, the member of China Steel Construction Association for Steel-Concrete Composite Structures. He is PI for more than 20 national, international and provincial projects in the field of structural health monitoring and intelligent information processing, steel/composite structure, and seismic mitigation organization. He cooperates with the scholars in United States, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and other places for research and education. He won 3 2nd class and 7 3rd class Provincial Science and Technology Award. He got 5 authorized national patents,and published 4 books and more than 130 papers. Among them, more than 10 papers are indexed by SCI and more than 50 papers are indexed by EI. His research improves the level of safety of civil engineering structures and promotes the integration of civil engineering and information technology disciplines.


Min Jiang Scholar
Professor Yongjian Liu

PhD, PhD supervisor, distinguished professor of Min Jiang Scholar Program and the expert receiving the special government allowance. He is the member of the China Steel Construction Association, standing member of the China Steel Construction Association for stability and fatigue, member of the Committee of Assessment and Strengthening of Buildings, member of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization in light steel, vice-editor of the “Journal of Architecture and Civil Engineering”. His research topics include composite steel and timber structures, theory and application of composite structure, bridge structure analysis, and construction control and safety evaluation. He is PI for 30 key projects, including National Natural Science Foundations of China, International cooperation project of Ministry of Science and Technology, Western Science and Technology Project of the Ministry of Communications, New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education and so on. He won 1 second class National Science and Technology Award, 4 first class Provincial Science and Technology Award. He published 80 papers and got 15 authorized national patents.


Member of State New Century National Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project
Professor Jianlan Zheng

PhD, PhD supervisor, the member of the State New Century National Hundred-thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project and the expert receiving the special government allowance. He works on Structural Engineering and the research and development of modern concrete materials. In recent years, he conducted the research on the self-compacting concrete structure, high-performance concrete volume stability, environmental protection and energy-saving recycling concrete for making insulation wall blocks. He is responsible for 4 National Natural Science Foundations of China and 8 provincial and ministerial research projects. He won 3 second class Provincial Science and Technology Awards. He edited 1 national and 2 provincial engineering construction standards, got 2 authorized national patents and published 100 papers.


Outstanding teacher in Fujian Province
Professor Ai Qi

PhD and PhD supervisor. She is the vice-dean of the College of Civil Engineering, Fuzhou University and the director of doctoral degree program of disaster prevention and mitigation engineering. She won many awards, such as the "May 1" labor medal in Fujian Province, “Baogang” outstanding teacher and so on. She won the second class National Excellent Education Award, the second class Provincial Excellent Education Award and so on. She is responsible for several National Natural Science Foundations of China and key projects of Science and Technology Bureau of Fujian Province and some other research projects from miscellaneous supporting parties.
